OwnQR

OwnQR is a dynamic QR code generator for small businesses, freelancers and creators. You can make a free dynamic QR code without an account; it points to a fixed destination through OwnQR's hosted redirect. For a one-time US$15 per code (or US$39 for a pack of five), the code becomes editable: you can change where it points after it has been printed and see scan analytics by date, location, device and referrer. An optional US$3/month plan is also available. Codes can be customized with colors, logos and frames, and download as SVG or PNG up to 4096px with a transparent background. OwnQR covers URL, WiFi, vCard, Instagram, PDF and coupon QR codes, and the interface is available in 12 languages. A published Sunset Pledge commits to keeping existing codes redirecting for at least five years if OwnQR ever winds down.

Printed QR codes are hard to change. With a static code, a new menu, a moved web page or a typo means reprinting flyers, signs and packaging. Many dynamic QR services solve that with a monthly subscription, and when the subscription stops, codes that were already printed can stop working. A small business that prints a handful of codes ends up renting them indefinitely. OwnQR lets them make a code editable with a single US$15 payment, update the destination whenever it changes, and check whether people actually scan it, without adding another recurring bill.
